I love how the fresh sprig of sage looks with

the silverware on the linen napkins.

They just make me happy.

Five Faves for Friday...Fabulous Headboards

I've been looking for two cool beds for

~ The Farmhouse ~

A Cal King for our master bedroom &

a Queen for our guest bedroom. 

I have pretty high standards for these beds. They need to be
solid, functional, yet super cool & on a crazy tight budget.

So...needless to say, I haven't found much. I've searched

Craigslist, friends hand-me-downs & outlet stores.
too expensive

too dark

poorly made

too bulky

& just plain boring...

So we've decided we're going to make our own headboards.

New Rental Inventory

I've been busy with so much the last few weeks

(more to come soon) that I haven't had much time to

sit down & write lately. About the only thing I've accomplished

that is ready to post are a few new pics of some rental items. 

I'll get these on the rental page soon (promise).

I love these soft yellow lanterns. Perfect for a beach wedding

or to create a classic camp-feel around the barbeque grill or the s'more station. How fun! Also, have some in bright red.

We have tons of milk glass items ~ flower pots, vases,

compotes & a cake plate. Great addition to any style

wedding or shower.

Perfect Picks...My Moms Finds

My mom scored a bunch of cool things for me

this week.  If it wasn't already, it should be clear now

where I got the

junking bug!

~ a gorgeous set of vintage knives to add to

the rental collection ~

~ a sweet little floral platter that will be included in

the rental selection or maybe my shop {that's another story} ~

~ twenty little hanging tea light holders

Well it's the longest day of the year...

And fitting to this day I spent every last bit of daylight

sitting on the front porch of The Farmhouse.

hit or miss.  Today it was a hit.

Great additions for our rental inventory...

another champagne bucket & a cut glass compote.

3 gorgeous vintage Limoges...perfect little soap dishes.

The Farmhouse

this trip, but I was inspired to get some more pics

Favorite Things...a weekend at the "beach cottage"

A few of my favorite things this weekend...

We finally had a weekend at our "beach cottage" rental

without any big plans for a change.

So I finally started my Spring cleaning

& "found" my beautiful Kitchen Aid mixer & vintage blender.

I can't wait to get these up to The Farmhouse in our

remodeled kitchen (see the vision here).

I also had a chance to go to two local flea markets

this weekend...more like community garage sales. I found

a couple cool items:

{please excuse the ugly dark grout in our rental kitchen}

 a Fire King bowl that I've always coveted,

but is generally out of my price range

some local Meyer lemons ~ yum!

 a cute fish bowl

with a world of opportunities to fill it up

a bunch of really cool frogs for $0.10 each ~ best bargain ever!

and a couple heart cookie cutters

to add to my small collection

I also finished my first {make-believe}

The last week has been amazingly hot & I've been

inspired to update our "beach cottage" with more beach accents.
