Farm to City Wedding

How did November just disappear?!?

I'm not quite ready for December, so I am reminiscing of my sweet friends wedding at the beginning of this month…

Check out the Mood Board we created for her
Farm to City Wedding.

And look how gorgeous she looked coming down the aisle
with her twin brothers!

Here are a few of the items we chose to help bring a bit of
her hometown of Chico & her families old almond farm
to a hotel in Walnut Creek.

Some of our Soda Crates were used on the dessert table

Along with our new L.O.V.E Cups & a few of our Scales

We used a bunch of Galvanized Watering Cans
around the ceremony site filled with sunflowers

We also created a sweet backdrop from our

And a couple (fairly poor) iPhone pics I snapped
before enjoying her gorgeous wedding!

Hopefully the real wedding photographers captured the day
better than I did & I'll share them here…

create your vision for you wedding or photoshoot.

Monday Mood Board #6…Farm to City Wedding

Farm to City Wedding Inspiration

My dear friend Amber got married to her love this past weekend
& I was lucky enough to be a part of their
wedding celebration.

Amber wanted to bring a bit of the farm to her
hotel wedding…and we were thrilled to help out.

We decided to focus on the
ceremony backdrop & dessert table
while bringing just a few more elements
throughout the site to complete the look.

Here is our inspiration board…

I'll post a few sneak peeks of the day in a few days
& hopefully will have some REAL photos
from the pros to share eventually.

Congrats to my sweet farm girl & her new hubby!!

Styled Shoot Sneak Peak…Boho Woodland Wedding Inspiration

What an amazing way to end the wedding season...
With a gorgeous Styled Shoot
capturing the beauty of the foothills
& incorporating an amazing group of local vendors.

I feel so blessed to have met some amazing wedding vendors this past year since moving up to Grass Valley, CA.
I started working with Jennifer & Carlos at
Farm to Table Catering in the Spring
& they brought me into the world of foothills weddings.
From there I met the lovely Katie of Katie White Photography
& we knew instantly that we wanted to collaborate
on a styled shoot. Since she was originally from Sonoma,
she had stayed busy with weddings in the Wine Country
& hadn't really marketed herself as a Gold Country Photographer.
So we were the perfect fit. Her from Sonoma & me from Marin.
Both of us wanting to highlight the beauty
& flourishing wedding industry in our new community.

Here's a quick sneak peek of the gorgeousness
that happened this fall day...

More to come of this shoot when I can share
the STUNNING images
from Katie.

And it wouldn't have been so magical
if it wasn't for all of the incredible local vendors:

Site Visit...Empire Mine State Park

It's been awhile again…

And summer is finally really coming to an end.
I'm not quite willing to accept this yet. Summer is definitely
my favorite season. I wish it could last forever.

Just because I haven't been busy writing blog posts, doesn't mean I haven't been exploring our new area. I was able to do several site visits this summer. The first on the list was
Empire Mine State Park.

This is one of the gorgeous ceremony spots ~
what an amazing backdrop!

There are so many gorgeous spots for photos of the
bride & groom ~ have I mentioned how much I love greenhouses!

This sweet little breezeway could be perfect for a
drink station or room for a guestbook ~ I love the light.

Look at these gorgeous archways & brickwork ~ which leads into this sweet little courtyard.

I think it would make the perfect backdrop for
cocktail hour ~ what do you think?

And here are a bunch of beautiful images from
showing Empire Mines full potential for your special day.

And I was told that the Rose Garden is gorgeous
when it's blooming in May. We'd love to be a part of
your special day helping you create
your unique vision.

create your vision for you wedding or photoshoot.

Midweek Inspiration...gratitude

We are grateful for being able to spend each day at
The Farmhouse!

Whether we're cutting down trees & loading firewood,
clearing the property for our new propane tank or
gutting our kitchen...

We feel blessed to be able to work on the place we now call home.

What are you grateful for?

Sunday Still Lifes...Thanksgiving Inspiration

I truly love Thanksgiving. I love that it is one of the
few holidays that isn't centered around giving gifts,
but instead giving thanks. It is all about
coming together to celebrate gratitude,
the season's bounty & community.

This year we'll actually be spending it at
The Farmhouse, with just the two of us & our animals. Our kitchen
is gutted right now, with a two-burner electric burner,
toaster oven & microwave.  Our gorgeous Viking is sitting
in the garage waiting to be hooked up.  So we'll see
what we end up with this year.

Some images from Thanksgiving at my parents last year...

They have a gutted kitchen as well this year,
so won't be able to host dinner again.

Sweet little Sammy girl's dirty paw prints from our
annual hike out to my parents last year.

We are so very grateful to be starting
our new life & creating our dreams up at
The Farmhouse.

What are you grateful for this year?
